To reach Zermatt and the most elegant mountain, The Matterhorn, we will walk under the great 4000 meter peaks of the western Alps and we will visit some of the most spectacular valleys. There we will pass through delightful villages and remote alp hamlets, wander flower meadows and deep fragrant forests. We traverse lonely passes and descend into wild, stone-filled corries. To arrive, at the end, to see the most famous mountain profile in the world: the Matterhorn.
Although demanding the Haute Route is a non technical trek, it is suited to experienced trekkers and is not really for people who have just started trekking or hiking in the mountains and it is the next logical alpine trekking step up after completing the famous Tour du mont blanc.
