So here I am back on the Amalfi coast, up in the little village of San Lazzaro nestled in the Mountains of the Monti Lattari National Park. I forgot how peaceful it is here, how life moves at a pace not set by the clock, the local population working the dark rich soil planting their crops for the coming summer.
I am here as an International Mountain Leader guiding walking/trekking holiday for three weeks, my first clients arrive in an hour or two. Two days ago when I arrived I was greeted with that Southern Italian sunshine and warmth but today I am glad I brung my nice hoody and duvet jacket with me as it has turned cold and damp. In fact next week looks like lots of rain. I do hope the clients have read the trip notes and packed their waterproofs.
